THE LOOK

THE STORY

New York City is full of interesting neighborhoods, one of which TriBeCa (Triangle Below Canal). While the neighborhood doesn’t have the best shopping or nightlife, the relatively quiet streets and incredible restaurants make TriBeCa a true charm. This week, I decided to explore the chic neighborhood and show off some of my newest Fall obsessions.

Shopping this season has been very difficult for me, as I am finding too many incredible pieces; it’s so difficult to choose! I have been especially impressed by Zara’s Men’s FW15 collection. The sweaters, coats, and accessories are absolutely to die for, some of which I wanted to highlight for this look. Before shopping at Zara last week, I had been looking for a classic trench coat for quite some time, so was very happy to come across this Structured Coat. The coat is not only the perfect length, it is also composed of a very interesting, white accented fabric that paired perfectly with the Intarsia Sweater. I love the fact that the sweater features various autumn colors such as grey, navy, and pops of orange and turquoise. I generally refrain from wearing sweaters with geometric designs, but could not resist this one. Being the turtleneck-fanatic I am, I decided to combine the Zara sweater with my grey New Look turtleneck. I do this quite often and have found that it’s a great way to dress up any casual crew-neck sweater! The Reptile Effect Embossed Backpack is the perfect finishing touch, as it adds to the look some youth and much-needed edge.

Believe it or not, the custom-made Chelsea boots used to be my dad’s in the early 90’s. I remember hating them back then, but my dad always told me that I would one day end up wearing them. I am so thankful he preserved them for me, as they are currently my favorite shoes for the colder weather (he also kept his brown ones, hallelloo!). It’s for exactly this reason that I am always so hesitant to throw clothes out; you never know which styles will come back in style!

Next week, I will be revealing my holiday wish-list, as well as the shoot I did in Myrtle Beach, SC. Stay tuned!

Happy Thanksgiving! :)

Loving this! I know you also have the Matt & Kim bag – which do you prefer better for everyday? This Reptile Effect one or the simple leather? xx

I like both bags for different reasons, but wear the Matt & Nat bag more often!
